About myself



I am born on August 27th 1974 in Mariehamn on the Åland islands. I
became interested in computers around 1986 when my parents gave me my
first computer. I was also always interested in sports and started
playing badminton around the same time. From then on the two interest
shared my time and devotion. I started as a trainer and coach of the
Åland badminton team in 1991 and continued with that until I started
at university in 1994. During that time I was going to school at the
same time as I was training the team and working with my computer.

In 1992 I was part of a group that setup one of the first BBS:es in
Åland. This group later come to form one of the first ISP:s on the
island.

1990-1993 Ålands Gymnasium 1991 Competion secretary at the Åland Island Games 1991-1994 Coach and team-leader Åland Badminton team 1992-1994 Was part of a group that set up the first BBS system on Åland. 1994-1997 Studies in Computer Science at Uppsala University 1994-1996 Co founder and lead programmer of Alandia Online. One of two ISP:s on the Åland Islands 1996 The ISP:s merge to Ålcom, I worked with the merging of the systems and the networks. 1997-2000 Technical Director of EUnet Sweden and later KPNQwest Sweden. Set up all systems and networks alone. Spring 2000 Responisible for customer operations in the Nordic region for KPNQwest. August 2000- Director IP Network Architectures, KPNQwest R&D team. Reporting to the CTO. October 2001- May 2002 KPNQwest IP Engineering team June 2002- CEO of NETNOD Internet Exchange (http://www.netnod.se) The Swedish national peeringpoint operator.

  • I am the current chairman of the Swedish Operator Forum
  • I worked on the EU funded CAPRICORN project doing research on call processing capabilities for optical networks.
